Stolen Car Driver Leads LAPD Chase to Jail

A man in a stolen car led four patrol cars and two helicopters on a 15 minute pursuit through Los Angeles ending in the downtown jail parking lot. Frankie Hull, 32, was booked for assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer and held on $8,000 bail after ramming a police car and saying he knew where to go.

NOW Chapter Elects Male President in Kentucky

The Kentucky chapter of the National Organization for Women elected Jim Newlin its president, making him the second man to lead a NOW chapter. Newlin, from Henryville, Indiana, said he joined NOW for equal rights for everyone and noted he attended his first meeting in 1985 as the lone man among 19 women. Former Kentucky NOW President Jean Varble acknowledged some members’ discomfort but argued against excluding half the population. only Washington, D.C. has had a male president.
