Great pumpkin arrives at St Bartholomew’s
A shipment of 3 375 pumpkins was unloaded at St Bartholomew's Episcopal Church for a pumpkin patch open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 1 to 7 p.m. Sundays. Proceeds go to the organ and building funds. 1 000 children are signed up for story time. a Pumpkin Patch Jubilee is planned for Oct 18 with food and music. remaining pumpkins will be donated to Golden Harvest Food Bank.

A golf tournament at Houndslake Golf Club on Oct. 27 benefits the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation. The Aiken County Emergency Services Fire Division sponsors, with 150 player limit and a $50 entry fee covering greens, cart, range balls, and lunch.
