Panthers star Rashad Isles dies in single car wreck
Rashad Isles, Batesburg-Leesville High School football standout, rushed for four touchdowns and caught a pass for a fifth in a 42-0 win over Pelion, then died in a one car crash in Aiken County while returning from the State Fair. Deputy Coroner E L Bo Rearden said Isles was thrown from the vehicle after losing control on S C 19 north of Aiken with no evidence of alcohol. His mother Shirley Isles recalled his years of football and academics as he prepared for college football.
