Widow sues plane makers over Hilton Head fatal crash
The widow of Robert Gary Jones sues Teledyne Continental Motors, Hartzell Propeller, Lancair International, Penn Yan Aero Service, and owner Edward Smith for wrongful death and negligence. Jones, 38, was killed March 15 when a kit plane lost a propeller and landed on a Hilton Head Island beach while Jones listened to an iPod. The suit faults design, testing and warnings and seeks unspecified damages.
