Wreck on U.S. 25 Kills Driver, Injures 49 Students

A fog shrouded morning crash on U S 25 about eight miles south of Edgefield killed the bus driver and sent 49 students to Edgefield County Hospital. Albert Simpkins 20, of Edgefield was driving the car that struck the bus. Sheriff Griffis said the bus was in its lane and the other car was in the road center. The investigation continues.
