County considers revamped pet sterilization ordinance
Aiken County Council's Development Committee asks for changes to apply spay or neuter requirements to repeat offenders only before release to owners. The proposal, backed by FOTAS and the Animal Control Advisory Committee, targets at large animals to curb overpopulation and unrestrained pets. A December return to committee is planned for a revised measure.
