Beech Island Tractor Trailer Theft Suspects Sought
After a 12 hour manhunt in Beech Island authorities detained Patrick Spires 30 of Aiken and sought a second suspect David Bargstedt 31 in a tractor trailer theft case. Spires resisted arrest injuring a deputy and was charged with assaulting an officer resisting arrest possession of stolen vehicle and assault on a police K nine.

Local students honor veterans at LBC Middle School

Beech Island man convicted in two murders sentenced to 30 years
Franklin Wright, 56, of Oliver Drive in Beech Island, was found guilty of two counts of murder and arson for burning the bodies of the victims. He received 30 years for each murder and 25 years for arson, all run concurrently but consecutive to a life sentence in Georgia.

Former assistant solicitor guilty of soliciting a minor
Aiken County former assistant solicitor Anthony Odom 38 was found guilty of soliciting sexual activity from an undercover officer posing as a teen.
