Aiken County honors Personal Care Aide staff during Home Care Month
During National Home Care Week November 15 to 21 the Personal Care Aide and Homemaker Services program of the Aiken County Department of Social Services will recognize 37 certified nursing assistants and four social services aides with certificates and refreshments. Coordinators say the program keeps clients at home, offers respite care, and remains funded despite broader federal cutbacks. Medicaid remains the service’s primary payer with 4,000 statewide clients on wait lists.
