Honor Flight reaching 1000 vets from Columbia region
South Carolina businessman Bill Dukes has flown about 1,000 World War II veterans to Washington on privately funded Honor Flight trips over two years. The 10th trip in 2011 starts in Myrtle Beach, with veterans visiting the National World War II Memorial and other memorials, escorted by physicians.
