Gunman report triggers lockdown at Redcliffe Elementary

Expert opinion split in murder trial hearing

A Circuit Court judge has not yet ruled on the defendant Christina Morris 24 of Aiken after a Tuesday hearing on competency. The case concerns Morris alleged involvement in the 2007 murder of her mother Dana Davis 55 a Schofield Middle School teacher found stabbed as a fire was set. Doctors and the defendant offered contrasting views on her mental state and ability to stand trial with notes from her treating physician at Bryan Psychiatric Hospital in Columbia and her former evaluator now in psychiatric care.
