Aiken County Office Complex Historic Designation Fails
Aiken City Council rejected the historic designation for the County Office Complex by a 6 to 1 vote after nearly two hours of debate. The site bounded by Morgan Street, Richland Avenue, Vaucluse Road and Barnwell Avenue was not placed in the historic district. Councilmember Steve Homoki cast the lone vote in favor of first reading.
