Veterans Day tribute moves students at Jefferson
Principal LaVana McKenzie led a heartfelt Veterans Day ceremony as she called each veteran by name. Cecil Stubbs, a 46 year old Vietnam veteran, planned to attend but died Wednesday. his widow Angela attended in his place. Historian Judith Knight spoke on Korea's war, recalling cold harsh winters and scarce rations. Knights stressed that freedom is earned by many who serve and sacrifice.
