USC Aiken plans rapid expansion including two more stories and an underground level for shelving and space. The project could house about 150 000 volumes after expansion with a new classroom building to follow. Construction hoped to start in January, finishing a year later with 48 faculty offices and 20 classrooms in the new facility.
