Swarming Bees and Home Dwellings per Beekeeper Advice
Beekeeper Doug Leader explains swarming as hive reproduction with 50 000 to 60 000 bees, noting a 95 percent non threat if left alone. Swarms seek dry enclosed sites, scouts assess new hive locations, and temporary stays can last 15 minutes to a day. If indoors, mothballs or carbolic acid may drive them out. professionals or beekeepers can often relocate them at no charge. Special caution about honey in walls and potential melt if bees are removed.
