In Melbourne Florida a five hour disturbance involved firebombs and gunfire in the Negro section. About 40 riot police arrested roughly 40 people while as many as 300 rioters used hit and run tactics. No injuries were reported.
Mini pigs bred for 20 years at the University of Minnesota Hormel Institute reach market readiness. Weighing about 140 pounds, they offer closer anatomical similarity to humans than standard hogs, enabling use in medical research. Researchers plan to sell some to other laboratories for experiments.
