Community youth leagues emphasize inclusion and fun
In Aiken youth sports, juniors across T ball and softball stress inclusive rosters with about 12 players per team. Sponsors cover most teams with 225 dollar fees, and city groups fund ten. Coaches highlight father son bonds and sportsmanship while noting growing girls softball after the 1996 Ponytails World Series.
