Budget board delays retiree pay increase decision
The Budget and Control Boards vote to delay approval of the 2.4 percent retiree cost of living adjustment for a month as it also paused new building lease deals for three months to assess open office space post cuts. The delay does not guarantee a July 1 change, and Gov. Mark Sanford and Comptroller General Eckstrom note the need to review the math behind adjustments.
