Unusual Friday Wrecks Slow Aiken County Roads
Two nonfatal incidents occurred on Friday in Aiken County. A Ford pickup collided with a Chevy Blazer at Chesterfield Street and Park Avenue, flipping the Blazer's rear passenger side. The driver was belted and suspended upside down before officers freed her. The Aiken-Augusta Highway logged about two hours of closures after a truck spilled metal rods, with the driver charged for failing to secure the load. The road reopened after cleanup.
