The Aiken Department of Public Safety logged incidents including a parked car sideswiped on Morgan Street, theft of three propane tanks from a business on Whiskey Road, a shoplifting arrest on Jefferson Davis Highway, and multiple burglaries at Stadium Circle Bath plus other locations. Stolen vehicles reported along U.S. 278 Aiken Road Graniteville Village Drive.

Man jailed on child sex charges in Aiken County
Cary Lathan Fulmer, 34, of Cumbee Trail Road, was charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor or attempted involving a family member aged 11 to 14. He was detained but released by Tuesday afternoon. The incidents allegedly occurred between August and October 2013. The victim’s statements varied, with initial denial followed by acknowledgment of the acts. Police say the victim and Fulmer were friends and that the situation “just went too far.”
