New director of high schools joins Aiken County District
Alvin D. Pressley of Irma is named executive director of high schools for the Aiken County Public School District, effective July, after serving as W.J. Keenan High School principal. A veteran educator with near two decades in classroom and administrative roles, Pressley led STEM initiatives, robotics and PLTW training, and has earned Palmetto Gold and Silver honors. He succeeds interim executive Scott Newman and will support high school principals while focusing on student achievement and life readiness.
