Richmond County chase ends with wreck in Aiken County
A Richmond County Sheriff's Office pursuit ended in a crash on the interstate in Aiken County. Three suspects from Savannah were detained after abandoning a stolen 2006 white Toyota Corolla and being captured by deputies. Surviving World Trade Center Stairs Named Endangered
The Survivors Staircase at Ground Zero was named among the nation’s most endangered historic places by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The stairway, last above ground at the World Trade Center site, is weakened by nearby construction and not included in plans for a new tower. Patty Clark, a Sept 11 survivor and Port Authority employee, recalls using the stairs to escape Tower 2 as debris filled the plaza.
