Aiken Man Charged After Firearm Pointing Incident Near Recreation Center
A 22 year old man from Sumter Street was detained after allegedly pointing a loaded shotgun at a group of boys outside Smith Hazel Recreation Center. Dan Demetrius McIntyre was charged with pointing and presenting a firearm and held in the Aiken County detention center.

Aiken police detained a 19 year old for shoplifting four beer cases and chips on Richland Avenue. Other detentions included a marijuana possession in a pencil box, DUIs on Ackland and Richland avenues, a disorderly conduct arrest on Richland Avenue, an unknown woman shoplifting about 450 in Laurens Street merchandise, a 22 year old Allendale man with warrants, and multiple vehicle break ins and burglaries across Aiken and surrounding streets. A camper theft occurred in Batesburg and electronics went missing in a Stone Drive burglary.
