Aiken aircraft firm owner gets probation in pollution case
John C. Harrington 61 of Aiken was sentenced in federal court to two years of supervised probation for conspiracy to violate the Clean Water Act and related offenses. He oversaw Harrington Industries Inc, an aircraft painting firm, which discharged wastewater containing pollutants into the Aiken County sewer system without a permit between 1998 and 2000.
