Amtrak Silver Star derails after tractor trailer collision
In Allendale, 279 aboard Amtrak’s Silver Star were involved when a tractor trailer on the rails was hit in rainy pre dawn darkness. Forty five injured, none seriously. Fourteen cars jumped the track, four on their sides. Most passengers treated and released by Tuesday afternoon. Two remained for unrelated ailments.
