Aaron Arthur Butler 26, of Jackson, faces second degree arson, second degree burglary, and weapon during a violent crime charges after allegedly setting a vacant mobile home ablaze. Deputies tracked the suspect after a Windsor March 11 report of a structure fire and significant property damage.
Christopher Curtis Fare man, 27, of Augusta, was charged with domestic violence of high and aggravated nature after deputies say he pointed a black handgun at the victim during a 2019 incident on Atomic Road in North Augusta. The victim fled, hid behind a tree, and reported the chase before Fare man was taken into custody.
Trenton man Travis Dean Bibbs, 37, was charged with two counts of discharging a weapon into a dwelling, unlawful firearm possession, unlawful carrying of a pistol and burglary after allegedly firing a pistol into a hotel ceiling and breaking into a Waffle House near Days Inn on Columbia Highway North at 3:45 am. Deputies found him in a hotel bathroom amid a panic while responding to a disturbance and burglary report. Bibbs was detained at the Aiken County Detention Center. The incident report notes a terrified suspect and a fleeing gunfire claim.
The Duchassais Family Foundation and Aiken Horse Park Foundation donate 25000 to United Way of Aiken County for the COVID 19 Relief Fund. Funds aid United Way partner agencies with meals for seniors and local resident support during the pandemic while recognizing leaders and local officials in Aiken.
