North Augusta man charged after officer involved shooting

Chanden Micah Emory 23 of North Augusta released from hospital and booked in Aiken County jail on charges of attempted murder assault and battery first degree and weapons and drug offenses after an officer involved shooting on March 13 in North Augusta. Deputies say Emory accelerated striking Deputy Joel Knight, a shots were fired hitting Emory, and a pursuit followed ending on Edgefield Road with cash tossed from the vehicle.

Aiken Renaissance talks continue with CAT inaugural meeting
