Sand Lot ring gets spring spruce up by volunteers
On Monday March 10, twenty one volunteers cleaned and painted the Sand Lot horse ring on Mead Road near the Winthrop Polo Field. They rebuilt jumps, trimmed trees, cleared debris, and resumed jumping after 11 a.m. in respect for nearby race horses and polo ponies. Organizers Gretchen Wintersteen Diane Crowley and Gina Salatino led the effort with help from Aiken Hounds and Flat Branch Hunt members. Lunch followed at Track Kitchen. organizers praised the successful community event.

Towles Wins Miss Teen Peach Title at Pageant
Elzabeth Lowies of North Augusta won Division 2 Teen Miss at Johnston's Peach Blossom Pageant held Saturday March 8 to benefit Little Stevens Creek Baptist Church youth missions. Towles, the reigning Miss Freshman at North Augusta High School, claimed the Miss Teen Peach crown.
