Adrienne M. Bush 24 of East Martintown Road is charged with homicide by child abuse for striking 4 month old Amalie Tre’chelle Thurmond multiple times as the infant died from massive head trauma. Father Travis Thurmond 27 called 911 after finding the baby unresponsive. Police say the infant showed rigid muscles and fixed pupils at Plaza Terrace apartment. North Augusta native Rory Partin died from injuries sustained in a crash during the first round of the Bridgestone National Endurance and Michelin National Challenge Sprints in Savannah Georgia. The 30 year old racer had placed fourth in class and tenth overall in Saturday events while racing with the Western Eastern Racing Association since May 2005. Partin is survived by his girlfriend Christine Plyler mother Debbie Rearden and stepfather Ken Oliphant and other relatives.
