Brightharp to announce for Third District seat
George Brightharp of Edgefield County will announce for the Third District congressional seat at 5 p.m. Saturday at Bettis Academy in Tren ton. He is a Democrat, an ordained minister, educator and small businessman with degrees from NC A&T and the University of South Carolina.

Local students shine in state DECA competition
South Aiken High led with five firsts including Shawn Warneke and Amanda Rivera, plus four seconds and three thirds.
