Aiken Trials Kick Off Triple Crown Weekend
The 58th Aiken Trials, sponsored by the Aiken Jaycees, run this Saturday at the Aiken Training Track. Gates open 10:30 a.m. with a 2 p.m. post. tickets $6 in advance, $8 at the gate. parking $5 in advance, $10 at the gate for infield/outfield. camper parking $20. The event, open since 1942, draws 12,000 to 15,000 fans for flat racing of 2 and 3 year olds and tailgate picnics. The 34th Aiken Steeplechase follows March 25 at Ford Conger Field.
