One Legged Bootlegger Arrested and Ordered Out of Town
James McKeever the one legged bootlegger was arrested Monday by Aiken officers for liquor in his trousers leg and fined 50 by Mayor Moseley. He was released Wednesday by Police Chief George on mayoral order to leave town within thirty minutes. The crippled condition of the man aroused the mayor's sympathy.

John Henry Williams Dies at Graniteville
John Henry Williams aged 86 a Confederate veteran died Friday at the home of his son J Broadus Williams after a lingering illness. He farmed in Union and Spartanburg counties and served as magistrate at Glendale for years. Funeral services were held noon Saturday at Puttmans Baptist Church Union County with Reverend O E Tebow and Reverend J D Bailey assisting. Burial followed in the churchyard.

George Key 77 dies after long Graniteville career
George Key of Graniteville aged 77 died Sunday at his nephew Jesse Lamb's home near Vaucluse. A longtime Graniteville Manufacturing employee for sixty years he worked with William Gregg. He is survived by brother J A Key sister Mahaley Lamb and several grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Graniteville Baptist Church with Rev Tebow and Rev Walker officiating.
