Waste Processing Facility An Asset Said By Christensen
Fred B. Christensen, a former SRP engineer and 1984 state Senate candidate, touts the Savannah River Plant's Defense Waste Processing Facility as an asset with great potential. The $870 million plant should be operational by September 1989 to solidify 26 million gallons of high level waste in glass for disposal, with possible storage at Hanford and no use for outside low level wastes.
