Man given life for killing son-in-law in Florence
In Florence, Herman McKnight was sentenced to life in prison for shooting Stewart Floyd with a shotgun shortly after Floyd visited the home for McKnight’s daughter. Floyd had been told to leave the premises due to McKnight’s drinking, and Floyd’s wife, McKnight’s daughter, had died a few days earlier after heart surgery.
