Church leader pleads in juvenile sex case
In Aiken County circuit court Christopher A. Lane 25 of Beaufort pleaded guilty to second degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor involving a 15 year old girl from a Augusta church youth group. Lane already serves five years in Georgia for statutory rape tied to the same victim. He faces five years in prison and five years probation in South Carolina after serving concurrent sentences. The court ordered 85 percent of the SC term be served before possible release.
