North Augusta weighs water plan amid plant outages
LeDuc cited uncertain enforcement for a city plan urging even house numbers to water on even days and odd numbers on odd days plus a 6 to 9 pm net watering window. Construction at the water treatment plant cuts capacity from 4 to 8 million gallons daily, with a burned out pump increasing demand by about one million gallons daily. Officials from the city and South Atlantic Contractors will meet Monday to address the crisis as council had debated conservation methods only a day earlier.
