Two North Augusta residents charged in narcotics probe
SLED charged Jamal Khalil Gough and Natasha Denise Brooks after a two month narcotics investigation at a Bradleyville Road apartment. They face multiple cocaine trafficking counts and unlawful neglect of a child. Gough and Brooks were jailed. bond not listed. Investigation continues.

Celebration of life planned for Monty Busbee
Family of Montague Monty Busbee, a former Aiken resident, will host a celebration of life this summer. Busbee, 43, was identified by King County Medical Examiner after remains found near Kendall Peak on June 4. Investigators believe he died in an avalanche while skiing on December 19, 2015, with a prior missing person report and search efforts ongoing before heavy snow halted the probe.
