Sub shop Blimpie destroyed in early morning fire
Firefighters battled heavy flames at the Blimpie sub shop on York Street near Rutland Drive. The blaze, reported around 2:17 a.m., fully engulfed the building and took more than an hour to extinguish. No injuries reported. SPCA Thrift Store next door suffered minor water and smoke damage.
