Photo contest and pageant call for contestants and entries
The Aiken Standard sponsors a photography contest with a July 6 deadline and nonprofessional limits. Contestants may submit to Photogra phy Contest c/o Aiken Standard or in person, winners to be featured Sunday morning. Mrs South Carolina America pageant seeks contestants with several prize opportunities and events, auditions for CSRA Teen Talent Night hosted by 100 Black Men of Augusta.

Former Yankee Bobby Richardson to Speak at Clemson Camp
Bobby Richardson, former New York Yankee, will be the featured speaker at the Sports and Fitness Camp at Clemson University’s W. W. Long 4 H Leadership Center in Aiken. The July 1 session at 6:45 p.m. offers football basketball soccer biking kayaking and cheerleading for youths 8 to 14 with a focus on total fitness and nutrition.

Leadership Aiken County Class Applications Requested
Applications are now accepted for the 1996 99 Leadership Aiken County Class. Obtain forms from the Aiken Chamber of Commerce or other chambers or Joan Wilson, with forms due by a July deadline. The program includes a three day retreat at Camp Gravatt on Oct 6 and monthly meetings for nine months to explore local issues.
