Brisbin recalls Perkins in his mid 70s who could leap over a seat in the final boat and provide on the spot narration after wildlife captures. Drought harms crops across South Carolina regions

The Northwest region leads in rainfall shortage at 3.63 inches this year, with all regions experiencing drought. Southern coastal areas show 1.94 inches below normal, and Aiken County in the West Central region is down 2.79 inches. Experts warn farmers to brace for more crop damage amid forecasts of hot, drier weather for 30 days, with central and western South Carolina receiving less than half their normal rainfall since December. A climatologist notes the current dry spell is unlikely to recur for about a century.
