AT&T and union reach tentative three year contract

A tentative three year labor deal between AT&T and the Communications Workers of America ends the nation’s largest strike since 1983. It provides an immediate 2 percent wage increase for 155,000 AT&T employees and a path toward lifetime job security, with final terms to be settled by Saturday on six division pacts and ratified by members before July 28.

Heart Is Found For Baby Nicky in Loma Linda

A donor heart has been located for a three year old Texas boy at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Baby Nicky, diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, will undergo heart transplant surgery. He came from a San Antonio hospital and is one of two children waiting for new hearts since last Friday.

GNP rises 2.9 percent in first quarter new revision

Review finds SRP Safety Analysis Reviews pending final DOE approval

GAO report released by Sen. John Glenn shows safety analysis reviews for SRP facilities including the Rocky Flats plutonium facility, SRP fuel fabrication and SRP reprocessing have not yet received DOE approval. Milwaukee AP report on a Farley UW Madison survey finds children view parents as true heroes.
