The Aiken Department of Public Safety restricts big trucks on East Gate Drive and the traffic circle near Aiken Mall and Publix while a new fountain is set in. Concrete around the fountain must cure for three to four days before trucks may return, with traffic redirected by cones. The fountain is now operational but water is slow as crews finish settlement. Police official Eddie George explains the non permanent measure aims to protect the pour and avoid waste.
