Art sculpture carved in Hitchcock Woods marks workshop
Local students aged 10 to 16 completed environmental kaolin sculpture on cliff ledges in Hitchcock Woods near Memorial Gate along Sand River. The World of Art Workshop at Rose Hill Art Center offered two and three dimensional design sessions with painting pottery and sculpture and weekly lectures by local artists. The piece spans about 50 feet wide and 10 feet high and may remain for months depending on weather and passers by.
