Cuba hijacker case tied to ex-defector pilot

Forest Service DC-3 crash kills in Idaho river
A U S Forest Service twin engine DC-3 crashed and caught fire in the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness along the Selway River in Idaho. One person died nine were missing after the crash as 12 forest workers were aboard. Two survived and rescuers launched air water and land searches with paramedics and smoke jumpers on scene. The survivor Bryant Stringham 17 described the plane losing engines and catching fire before impact.
