Presbyterians delay vote on ecumenical ties as leaders stay active
The Presbyterian Church United States of America will not vote on its relations with the National and World Councils for about a year while Rev. James Andrews, newly elected stated clerk, continues church social activism. The Assembly extended a committee’s life to gather more hearings in New York and Geneva before reporting next year, with final action planned in Indianapolis.
