Lawsuit filed over termination of New Ellenton chief

McMillan, New Ellenton’s first African American police chief, sues the town, former Mayor Jim Sutherland, Police Chief Hugh Ray, and officers Johnny Hamilton and Victor Hut alleging wrongful termination and numerous related causes. He was terminated after a SLED probe into computer material, with the city arguing his conduct and race sparked the dispute.

All America title in sight for N A North Augusta
