Surgery removes rare extra arm from Chinese baby
Doctors at Shanghai Children’s Medical Center successfully removed a poorly developed third arm from two month old Liu Junjie. The three hour operation preserved the left hand’s function while the chestward limb was removed. Physical therapy will be needed and doctors seek international guidance on such rare cases.
