Fund Requests Considered by Senate Finance Panel
The Senate Finance Committee reviewed numerous last minute requests from state agencies for a share of this year’s surplus revenues. The panel aims to finish its version of the supplemental appropriations bill and send it to both chambers before 5 p.m. adjournment. Chairman Rembert C. Dennis noted a 1 a.m. Senate session delayed the committee. The bill would allocate unanticipated revenues to cover current deficits and one time expenses in 1980 81, with $6 million more available in addition to $19.6 million already allocated by the House.
