South Carolina lawmakers approved a bill allowing parties that nominate by convention to choose candidates as late as June 27 the date of the Democratic primary. The measure, adopted by a conference committee, extends the deadline for nominating by convention. If unchanged, conventions would have had to nominate by June 3.
