Deputies from the Aiken County Sheriff's Office pulled two residents to safety after a fire broke out at a Horse Creek Road home around 8 p.m. Tuesday. One resident had alerted others before responders entered. The cause is under investigation and not thought suspicious. One deputy had prior experience rescuing victims from other fires.
Witnesses saw two men in black shirts near Richland Avenue with one drawing a gun and tucking it away. Aiken man cited for littering after trespass notice was discarded. 63 year old shoplifts drugs at Walmart on Whiskey Road and is arrested. Fraud cases involve SPR credit card and Regions Bank card. electricity theft totaling about $1700 linked to Payton Place.
