Rescued pilot survives 17 hours in Lake Huron
Michael W. Trapp, 42, of Gouverneur New York, swam and tread water for about 17 hours after his plane crashed into Lake Huron off Michigan. He frantically waved a sock to signal a boat and was rescued Wednesday before being taken to Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw in good spirits.
